Dawn of a new day, dusk of a long hitch.

Simply the best sunrise a towboater ever sees - the sunrise of the last day on the boat after a month long hitch. There is no fresher air, nor more soothing sound of the waves. This is when I would reflect back on the long journey. Where all have I been? What all did I do? What am I going to do when I finally get off? Channel fever is at its peak. You just suck it in and take it hour by hour.

"I'll be home soon".
